Ocean Quest Dive Centre serves as a central hub for the diving community in the Greater Vancouver area. Based in Burnaby, the centre has spent more than a quarter of a century providing high-level training and expert guidance to both recreational and technical divers.

Whether you are looking to complete your first Open Water certification or are an experienced diver seeking to master Trimix or wreck penetration, the centre provides a professional environment. They also organise weekend dive trips throughout the year to explore the diverse underwater landscapes of British Columbia.

The centre is owned and operated by Greg and Deirdre McCracken, who bring over 30 years of experience in the diving industry to the team. Their long-standing presence in the region has helped foster an active and friendly diving community.

Ocean Quest is recognised as the most active technical diver training facility in Greater Vancouver. They focus on high-level instruction, offering specialised training that goes beyond the standard technical programmes, including exclusive wreck diver speciality training.

Ocean Quest offers a comprehensive catalogue of training through both PADI and TDI. For recreational divers, they provide the full progression from PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water through to Rescue Diver and Divemaster. They also offer specialised courses such as the PADI Drysuit Specialty, PADI Deep Diver Specialty, and PADI Sidemount Diver.

For those moving into technical diving, the centre is a specialist hub. Their curriculum includes PADI Tec Basics, Tec 40, Tec 45, Tec 50, and the advanced Tec 65 programmes. They also provide TDI certifications including Intro to Technical Diving, Deco Procedures/Helitrox, and full Trimix training. Instructor development is also available, with pathways for PADI Tec 40, 45, 50, and Trimix instructors.

The centre is fully equipped to support your diving needs with a complete range of rental kit available. This includes everything from regulators and BCDs to drysuits and fins.

The waters around Vancouver offer unique encounters for observant divers. During the summer months, there is the possibility of seeing the Sixgill shark in shallower depths.

Macro life and interesting invertebrates are a highlight of the local sites. You may encounter the Giant Pacific Octopus amongst the rocks and structures of the shore sites.
