Safety and professional standards are maintained through a structured guide-to-diver ratio, with a maximum of 4 divers per guide. This ensures close supervision during every descent, which is particularly important when navigating the more complex sites like the Machete Caves or the deeper offshore formations.

The centre offers a comprehensive curriculum through PADI, covering every level of certification. Beginners can start with Bubblemaker or Discover Scuba Diving, progressing through to Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver.

For those looking to specialise, there are numerous PADI specialty courses available, including Enriched Air, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Night Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Underwater Navigation. The centre also provides training in Search & Recovery and the PADI AWARE Dive against Debris programme.

For those looking for longer adventures, the centre offers specific day trips such as the Tiger Rock excursion, which travels 40 km away to a group of offshore pinnacles. These trips are designed to maximise time in the water, often including lunch at the Zapatilla Cays.

The reefs are teeming with a variety of colourful fish, including schools of fish, parrotfish, and the Spotted Drumfish. You can often spot larger residents such as rays and various species of sharks patrolling the area.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants are plentiful throughout the sites. Keep an eye out for seahorses, toadfish, and spotted moray eels tucked into the reef structure, as well as red sea stars on the sandy patches.

The seabed and reef walls are decorated with a healthy array of fixed life, including various corals, sponges, and sea lettuce. You may also encounter sea fans and sea anemones providing habitat for the local fauna.

During specific times of the year, you might encounter the yellowtail damselfish, which is considered a seasonal resident of these waters.

Diving conditions in the area are highly dependent on the swell and local weather. Many of the most interesting sites, such as the Machete Caves, Dolphin Rock, and Old Man’s, are only accessible when the sea is calm and swell is minimal.

Some sites are also influenced by surf conditions; for example, the Old Man’s site is best visited when the surf is down. The centre monitors these conditions closely to ensure safe dive planning for every trip.
