Red Hook Dive Center

Located at the eastern end of St. Thomas in Red Hook, Red Hook Dive Center sits on the waterfront of American Yacht Harbor. As a PADI 5 Star centre, it serves as a primary hub for diving in the US Virgin Islands, offering access to a vast array of local sites.

Instruction is available in English, covering everything from Open Water Diver to professional-level courses such as Divemaster. For those looking to expand their technical repertoire, they offer Enriched Air Diver and various advanced certifications.

The curriculum covers the complete PADI progression, starting with Open Water Diver and Open Water Referral. For those looking to advance, they offer Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and specialized courses like Wreck Diver.

The Fool's Gold is a 42-foot motorboat that is inspected by the US Coast Guard. It has a capacity for 12 divers and is used for morning, afternoon, and night dives.

The reefs around St. Thomas are home to various large species, including eagle rays and octopus. You may also encounter Remoras and Spotted Drum when exploring the walls and shoals.

For those interested in macro life, look closely for nudibranchs and various types of shrimp, such as the Pederson's cleaner shrimp. Octopus are also frequently observed in the area.

In certain areas, you may find Caribbean Unicorn mantas, depending on the season.

The centre offers diving during the morning, afternoon, and night. Divers should note that the centre is closed on Sundays during September and October.
