Argentario Obidiving is situated in the historic port of Porto Santo Stefano, providing a central base for exploring the diverse marine environments of the Costa d'Argento. The centre is positioned to take you from the immediate coastline out to the more remote island ecosystems.

Whether you are looking to take your first breaths underwater or are an experienced diver seeking to specialise, the centre provides the infrastructure needed for both shore-based and boat-based diving. The location allows for easy access to the surrounding Mediterranean waters, ranging from coastal explorations to long-distance trips.

As an SSI affiliated centre, the team focuses on structured, professional training using digital theory to streamline the learning process. They cater to all levels, from those starting with a Discovery Scuba Diving session to professional candidates working towards their Instructor qualification.

Beyond basic certifications, the centre supports divers through the advanced stages of their journey, including Rescue Diver and Divemaster training. The facility itself is designed for comfort, featuring a space that accommodates up to 20 people, complete with changing rooms and hot showers to rinse off after a day in the sea.

The training programme is comprehensive, covering the entire SSI curriculum. Beginners can start with Discovery Scuba Diving, progressing through Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver certifications.

For those looking to expand their technical skills, the centre offers Nitrox and Deep Diver specialties, as well as Dry Suit training. Advanced divers can pursue Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and professional instructor training through the SSI framework.

The centre operates an 8-metre RIB powered by a 240 hp engine, capable of carrying up to 14 divers. This vessel is used for coastal trips, long-distance excursions, and journeys to the nearby islands.

For those opting for boat trips, the experience can be tailored with refreshments and prosecco on board upon request. The boat is used for various dive profiles, including night dives and trips to more distant locations like Giglio and Giannutri.

A full range of diving kit is available for hire, allowing you to travel light. This includes complete sets, or you can hire individual items such as fins, masks, or wetsuits and BCDs.

For night divers, torches are available for hire to ensure you can navigate the darker environments effectively. The centre also provides air refills for single cylinders and blocks.

The area is characterised by its coastal and island topography, which influences the local conditions. Divers should be prepared for the varying environments encountered when moving from the reef flats to the more open waters around the islands.
