Buceo Nomade

Buceo Nomade is situated in Los Molles, a location widely regarded as the diving capital of Chile. The centre serves as a gateway to the rugged and biologically diverse coastline of the region, providing access to more than 30 distinct dive sites.

As a PADI 5 Star centre, the operation focuses on international safety standards and high-quality instruction. Whether you are looking to complete your first open water qualification or are an experienced diver seeking advanced technical training, the centre is equipped to handle a wide range of requirements.

The team is composed of four professional staff members, including experienced instructors and divemasters. Martin Leon manages the business operations, while Felipe González serves as a divemaster with specialisations in Nitrox, Deep, and Dry suit diving.

Instruction is led by a highly qualified group, including Seba and Almendra, both of whom are PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors. Their certifications cover a broad spectrum of expertise, including EFR, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and environmental specialties such as Dive Against Debris and Coral Reef Conservation.

The centre operates in both Spanish and English, making it accessible for international divers visiting the Chilean coast.

The training programme covers the entire PADI spectrum, starting from the Open Water Diver course through to Divemaster. For those looking to specialise, the centre offers courses in Nitrox, Deep Diver, and Dry suit diving.

There is also a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship and advanced skills, with availability for Peak Performance Buoyancy, Coral Reef Conservation, and Dive Against Debris Instructor training. The team is also qualified to teach EFR and Care for Children with AED.

The centre provides full equipment hire for divers who do not wish to carry their own kit. This includes all the necessary components for a complete dive setup.

For those looking to extend their bottom time or manage decompression profiles more effectively, Nitrox is available on-site.

The marine life in the Los Molles area is remarkably diverse, with frequent sightings of sea lions and dolphins. You will often encounter large schools of fish, including rockfish and Chromis crusma (Castañetas), alongside Bilagay and various species of lenguados.

For those interested in larger pelagics, the area is known for the occasional appearance of ocean sunfish. The rocky terrain also provides a home for various species of rockfish and other reef-dwelling inhabitants.

The macro life and smaller inhabitants are equally varied. Divers can find nudibranchs, sea urchins, starfish, and various species of Actineas among the crevices. The seafloor is also home to rock shrimp (Camarones de roca) and different types of sea slugs.

Looking closely at the reef and rock structures, you will find Pinta roja and various other small organisms that thrive in the local ecosystem.
