Diving equipment is paid sports baggage: from MXN 1,420 (low region) or MXN 1,560 (high region) per item, or exchangeable for one of the checked bags of the allowance.

The dive-gear bag (contents checked at check-in) is included in the ticket price if it is your only hold bag in Loisirs, or one of the two in Confort or Club Austral, except on the Loisirs Light fare. Otherwise an extra bag must be bought; the airline's prior approval is needed at least 7 days before departure.

Diving equipment, in a cover, counts as an ordinary hold bag (190 cm long at most, 300 cm in total): free if it fits within the ticket's allowance, otherwise €50 per journey on transatlantic routes and €26 on regional routes.

Diving equipment (wetsuit, BCD, mask, torch, knife, empty cylinder, regulator) is sports baggage outside the allowance, paid and non-refundable, subject to space. It cannot be booked online but through sales offices or the call centre, where the price is given.

Diving equipment (wetsuit, BCD, mask, fins, regulator) counts as checked baggage: included in the ticket price if it is your only checked bag, except on Light and Basic fares. A diving torch needs approval 48 hours ahead; the cylinder travels empty, 23 kg at most.

One set of diving equipment up to 23 kg travels free in the hold IN ADDITION to the ticket's baggage allowance, in a suitable container, with a liability waiver signed at check-in. Between 23 and 32 kg, overweight charges apply.

Diving equipment (two bags at most: one with the empty cylinder, the other with mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD and regulator) travels with no surcharge as long as it stays within the number of bags and the weight of the ticket's allowance. Hold space is not guaranteed: tell the airline in advance.

Diving equipment (mask, fins, BCD, snorkel, weight belt, empty cylinder presented at check-in) is checked within the ticket's allowance, after telling the airline as soon as you have booked; if the allowance is already used, the extra bag is paid. A diving lamp needs approval 24 hours ahead.

Dive baggage is paid sports baggage, to be booked in advance: from $70 per one-way (Egypt, Canary Islands) to $115 (Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa), $145 to $160 at the airport, 30 kg maximum. The first item is free in Business Class.

Sports equipment, diving included, can be carried free of charge in place of the hold bag included in the allowance, within its weight limit; diving equipment travels in a separate container, 20 kg at most (wetsuit, BCD, mask, boots, fins, knife, regulator). Cylinders empty and uncapped in the hold, the torch in the cabin, separated from its heat source.

Diving equipment is 'large' sports equipment (32 kg maximum), bought in addition to hold luggage, one item per person; its weight cannot be pooled with a hold bag. The price depends on the flight, higher at the airport.

The first piece of sports equipment of the 'normal' category (23 kg at most) is free on all Edelweiss flights (€0), and diving equipment is part of it: two bags (empty cylinder; snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD, mask, lamp), 200 cm in total. Register it when booking or online in advance; flights operated by Edelweiss only, not codeshares.

The page does not name diving: any sporting equipment travels free if it is your second piece (only one checked bag), 158 cm and 32 kg at most. Beyond the allowance, a 'special sports baggage' charge applies up to 280 cm.

Diving equipment packed separately is a paid special-baggage item: €55 per one-way, 15 kg maximum, to be declared when booking or afterwards. Packed in an ordinary hold bag, it follows the standard rates; the cylinder only flies if there is room left.

Declared diving equipment is a paid special-baggage item on international flights and must be booked in advance. The only exception, until 31 December 2026: from Bilbao to Aqaba, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh, one set of diving equipment is included in the ticket's baggage allowance.

« Diving equipment transportation service is charged for domestic flights and we carry your 1 diving equipment for 850 TRY. Special baggage fee is applied in international flights. It is mandatory to make reservation entry. [...] For trips departing from Bilbao (BIO) and arriving in Aqaba (AQJ), Hurghada (HRG), and Sharm El-Sheikh (SSH), and for the return legs of these trips, we will carry one set of diving equipment as included in the checked baggage allowance stated on your ticket until December 31, 2026 (inclusive). »
