The team at Scuba Shop LLC is comprised of professional divemasters and instructors who are multilingual, providing guidance in both English and Spanish. This ensures clear communication during briefings, which is essential when navigating the varied conditions found around the island.

Beyond recreational diving, the centre runs an after-school programme for children, incorporating snorkeling, fishing, and navigation. This commitment to the local community and the next generation of divers is matched by their work with the Roatan Marine Park to support local conservation efforts.

Scuba Shop LLC provides a complete curriculum through PADI and SSI affiliations. For beginners, they offer Discover Scuba Diving and the Open Water Diver course, moving through to Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver certifications.

Full rental kit is available on-site, which can be included as part of certain diving packages. This allows divers arriving in Roatan without their own equipment to access all the necessary tools for reef and wreck diving.

Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time, and the centre is fully equipped to support enriched air diving. For those interested in more specialized experiences, they also facilitate shark dives and night diving with appropriate torches and kit.

The reefs around Roatan are vibrant, with much of the scenery provided by dense colonies of sponges and various corals. On the walls and near crevices, you will find a variety of reef fish, including creole wrasse, chubs, and schooling silversides.

Macro life is abundant for the observant diver. You can find garden eels on sandy patches, alongside scorpionfish, seahorses, pipefish, and various species of crabs such as arrowhead crabs and neck crabs. Small residents like slender filefish, secretary blennies, and fireworms add detail to the reef structure.

Larger pelagics and reef residents are common, particularly around the deeper walls and wreck sites. Divers frequently encounter sea turtles, eagle rays, groupers, and Caribbean reef sharks. In certain areas, you may also see tarpon or large schools of horse-eye jacks.

Diving in the area involves a range of environments, from easy shore entries to more technical sites. Some locations, such as Cara a Cara, require divers to navigate moderate currents, particularly during shark dives.

The topography varies from shallow reef flats and sandy gardens to dramatic walls that descend to significant depths. While many sites are accessible to those with basic certifications, the deeper wall dives and certain wreck penetrations require more advanced training.
