TAKA's DIVING has been operating out of Hachinohe since 2007, establishing itself as a professional fixture in the Aomori diving scene. The centre is built around a philosophy of calm, paced learning, ensuring that every diver can progress through their training at a speed that suits their individual comfort and physical capability.

From the base in Hachinohe, the centre organises excursions to some of the most significant sites in the prefecture. These trips take you from the high-density fish populations influenced by the Tsushima Current to the unique natural monuments of the Shimokita Peninsula.

The centre is an SSI affiliated professional operation with 19 years of experience in the industry. They provide a wide array of services that go beyond standard recreational diving, including marine studies, underwater works, and professional underwater photography support.

Instruction is handled with a focus on the individual, with courses designed to be completed serenely. The team is equipped to guide you through everything from your first breaths underwater to advanced specialty certifications, ensuring safety and technical proficiency at every stage.

As an SSI centre, TAKA's DIVING offers a complete progression of certifications. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, with pathways leading through Advanced Open Water Diver and Master Diver levels.

For divers looking to refine their skills or increase their safety margins, the centre provides several specialty courses and the Diver Stress & Rescue programme. They also offer the ReactRight Provider course for those interested in professional development.

The centre provides full kit hire for those not travelling with their own equipment. This includes wetsuits and drysuits, BCDs, regulators, masks, snorkels, fins, boots, hoods, gloves, and weights. They also provide underwater camera equipment for those looking to document their dives.

For those who prefer to bring their own gear, the centre offers professional equipment maintenance services to ensure your kit is in top working order. Safety is a priority on shore, with oxygen-based safety protocols and equipment available for use.

The marine life in this region is heavily influenced by the Tsushima Current, which brings a wealth of biodiversity to the area. You can expect to encounter significant pelagic species such as the greater amberjack (Seriola dumerili) and the leopard coral grouper when diving the Shimokita Peninsula.
