The centre operates from its base at Lower Delta Road, providing a professional gateway to the region's best dive sites. From local reef explorations to organised weekly expeditions to the coral-rich waters of Tioman, the focus remains on precision, safety, and high-level training.

As an SSI Diamond Instructor Training Centre, DiveLab maintains the highest standards of instruction. The team is led by a founder who has been teaching since 2000, ensuring a depth of knowledge that spans from basic entry-level courses to the most complex technical disciplines.

Instruction is delivered in English, and the centre maintains a strict ratio of no more than three divers per guide. This ensures that whether you are working on your buoyancy in the pool or navigating a current on a reef, you receive the individual attention required for safe and competent diving.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the entire SSI spectrum. Beginners can start with the SSI Junior Open Water Diver or Open Water Diver programmes, progressing through Advanced Adventurer, Stress & Rescue, and Enriched Air Nitrox.

For those looking to advance their skills or career, the centre offers SSI Dive Guide, Dive Master, Assistant Instructor, and Open Water Instructor training. Technical divers will find a robust XR curriculum, including SSI XR Foundation, XR Extended Range, XR Extended Range Trimix, and specialized training for Rebreather and Side Mount configurations.

For local excursions, you will head out on the TwentySix, a custom 10m x 2.6m fast boat powered by a single 250HP engine. The vessel is designed to carry 8 divers and 2 crew members, making it an efficient platform for getting you to the sites quickly.

Onboard, the crew provides unlimited drinking water and a simple lunch for those on full-day trips. The boat is equipped to support various diving styles, with Nitrox available for those looking to extend their bottom time.

DiveLab is much more than a training centre; it is an authorised service centre for major regulator brands including Apeks, Scubapro, and Aqualung. This makes it an ideal hub for divers needing professional maintenance or battery replacements for their dive computers.

For those needing to rent kit, a full range is available, including BCDs, regulators, masks, wetsuits, and fins. Certain rental packages also include the use of a Shearwater Peregine dive computer to ensure you are diving with reliable instrumentation.

The reefs are home to a variety of tropical fish and colourful coral structures. You can expect to see plenty of Butterflyfish (Chaetodon), Parrotfish (Calotomus), and various other tropical fish species patrolling the reef flats.

For those with an eye for detail, the area offers excellent macro opportunities. Look closely for Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda), and various sea slugs tucked into the reef architecture.

Larger residents also make appearances, including blue-spotted stingrays (Batoidea) and Pufferfish (Arothron hispidus). You may also encounter the Tentacled flathead (Papilloculiceps longiceps) or albino pipefish amongst the seabed.

Local diving is subject to tidal influences, particularly at Pulau Jong, where the geography and tides can create very strong currents. Divers should be prepared for these conditions if planning a deep wall dive.

Visibility in the area typically ranges between 2 and 6 metres, depending on the specific site and local conditions.
