Aqua Marine St. Thomas

Situated in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Aqua Marine has been operating for over a decade, providing divers with access to the varied underwater topography of the region. The centre operates from two main locations: the dive shop at Frenchman's Bay and the dive boat departing from Saga Haven Marina.

With 40 different dive sites available, the local waters offer a significant variety of environments. You can choose to explore colourful reef flats, descend along steep walls, investigate local wrecks, or navigate through various swim-throughs and pinnacles.

As a PADI 5-Star IDC centre, Aqua Marine is equipped to handle both recreational divers and those pursuing professional career paths. The team, led by owners Tommy and Michelle Rayfield, operates under the 'Aqua Marine Dream Team' banner, focusing on small group excursions to ensure personalised attention for every diver.

The centre's status as an Instructor Development Centre means they are highly experienced in the pedagogical side of diving. They provide a range of training from entry-level certifications through to the PADI Instructor Development Course, maintaining high standards of safety and education throughout.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of PADI and SSI certifications. For beginners, they offer Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver certifications, as well as Bubblemaker programmes for younger divers.

Advanced divers can progress through the Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver courses. For those looking to refine their skills, the Scuba Tune-up is available. The centre also provides professional training through the PADI IDC (Instructor Development Course) and offers PADI E-Learning to facilitate study away from the water.

Dive departures are organised from the Saga Haven Marina in St. Thomas. The centre offers both morning and afternoon dive schedules, including dedicated night dive sessions for those looking to explore the reef after sunset. Private charters are also available for divers seeking a more bespoke itinerary.

The centre offers a 'Valet Diving' service designed to take the logistical weight off your shoulders. The team handles the assembly, transport, rinsing, and disassembly of your equipment, allowing you to focus entirely on the diving.

For those who prefer not to travel with their own kit, various rental options are available. The shop is located at Frenchman's Bay, and all student certification sessions involving pool work are conducted at the Aqua Marine shop facility.
