The Aquatic Centre

The Aquatic Centre has been a fixture of the Limassol diving scene since 1993. Situated directly on the main seafront road at the edge of the tourist area, the centre provides immediate access to the beach and a solid base for both local dives and island-wide excursions.

Operating year-round, the centre is well-equipped to handle everything from introductory dives to professional training. Their setup includes an in-house gas blender and a dedicated Mares technician on site, ensuring that equipment and gas mixes are maintained to a high standard.

As a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre, the team focuses on high educational standards and strict safety protocols. They cater to a wide range of divers, from children participating in Bubblemaker programmes to professional candidates working towards Divemaster or Master Scuba Diver Trainer certifications.

Instruction is kept intimate to ensure quality, with a maximum of four divers per guide. This ratio allows for focused training and better monitoring of your buddy pair during dives, whether you are working on Peak Performance Buoyancy or navigating a wreck.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Bubblemaker programme, progressing through Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver.

For those looking to specialise, they offer several PADI specialties including Deep Diver, Navigation, Wreck, and Peak Performance Buoyancy, as well as Fish ID. Professional divers can undertake training from Divemaster up to Master Scuba Diver Trainer, with Emergency First Response integrated into the curriculum.

The centre operates two distinct vessels to suit different dive profiles. For local trips, they use a 42ft purpose-built dive boat which provides a spacious platform for your group, alongside a 20ft RIB for more agile movements.

These boats allow for frequent trips to the Limassol Wrecks and the Akrotiri marine reserve. For longer excursions to sites like the Zenobia shipwreck in Larnaca or the waters of Cape Greco, the centre utilises two customised dive trucks to transport divers and kit.

The facility is fully equipped for divers needing a complete rental setup. They maintain a retail shop and provide exceptionally well-maintained scuba equipment for hire.

On-site technical support is a core feature, with an in-house gas blender and a Mares technician available to service equipment. The centre also features air-conditioned classrooms for theory sessions and a dedicated space for training.

Diving in Cyprus is possible all year round, with sea temperatures remaining above 15°C even in the cooler months. The location allows for consistent access to the local reefs and wrecks throughout the seasons.
