Moby Diving

Located in the heart of the Pelagie Archipelago, Moby Diving serves as a gateway to some of the most biodiverse waters in the Mediterranean. The centre is situated in Porto Nuovo, directly on the embarkation point, making the transition from shore to boat seamless for your diving trips.

The surrounding area is defined by its unique geological diversity, ranging from the steep, limestone cliffs of Lampione to the dark, volcanic foundations of Linosa. This variety creates a range of habitats that support a significant density of marine life and archaeological interest.

As a PADI 5 Star IDC centre, Moby Diving operates with a high level of professional instruction. The team is qualified to lead a full spectrum of training, from initial certifications through to professional-level courses.

The centre is also actively involved in the Scuola D'amare project, which focuses on marine education and introducing schools to the underwater world. All diving activities are covered by DAN insurance, ensuring a standard of safety and professional oversight for every diver.

The training programme covers the complete PADI progression. You can start with the Open Water Diver course and progress through to Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster.

For those looking to specialise or advance their technical skills, the centre offers PADI specialties including Nitrox, Deep Diver, and Wreck Diver. They also host the Instructor Development Course (IDC) for those pursuing a professional career in diving.

The centre's facilities in Porto Nuovo include dedicated areas for divers to prepare for their outings, featuring changing rooms, showers, and rinsing stations. There is also on-site storage available for your personal equipment.

For those travelling without a full rig, the centre provides equipment hire. The facility is designed to be a central hub for your stay, offering a relaxation area to discuss dive sites and conditions before or after you get in the water.

The waters around the Pelagie Islands are a stronghold for pelagic species. You can expect to encounter various pelagic fish, as well as dolphins and occasionally grey sharks during your dives.

The reef and rocky structures are home to a variety of larger residents, including groupers, moray eels, and parrotfish. Spiny lobsters and turtles are also frequently sighted throughout the archipelago.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants add significant detail to the seabed, where you will find a variety of colourful starfish and other invertebrates inhabiting the crevices of the limestone and volcanic rock.
