Palinuro Sub Diving Center

Palinuro Sub Diving Center is situated in the heart of the Capo Palinuro marine area, an environment defined by its dramatic underwater architecture. Since its establishment in 1983 by Fabio Barbieri, the centre has built a reputation rooted in deep local knowledge and a technical approach to the seabed.

The location is particularly noted for its submerged caves and complex rocky structures. This makes it a premier destination for divers looking to move beyond simple reef exploration and into the more technical realms of cavern and cave diving.

The team is composed of six highly qualified instructors and guides, many of whom possess extensive experience specifically within these local waters. Their expertise is not limited to standard recreational diving; the staff includes specialists trained in underwater speleology and marine biology.

Instruction is delivered through several major agencies, including PADI, CMAS, and RAID. This allows for a versatile approach to training, whether you are working towards a standard certification or pursuing specialised technical skills.

Beyond standard dive guiding, the centre places a strong emphasis on environmental monitoring and biological education. Every briefing and debriefing is designed to provide a detailed understanding of the flora and fauna you encounter during your dive.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of training, beginning with the Open Water Diver course for those new to the sport. For those looking to progress, they provide Advanced Open Water, Deep Diver, and Wreck specialties.

Technical and specialised training is a core part of their curriculum. This includes Trimix Diver courses, Cavern Diver, and Cave Diver certifications, as well as training for Assistant Instructors. They also offer Apnea Academy programmes for children and adults, covering various levels of freediving.
