Full Dive

Located directly on the seafront in Porto Ercole, Full Dive provides easy access to the coastline, with the boat positioned just a few metres from the centre. This allows for efficient equipment loading and unloading, making the transition from shore to sea straightforward. The centre operates throughout the year, catering to both summer and winter diving seasons.

The local waters surrounding the Argentario promontory, as well as the islands of Giannutri and Giglio, offer diverse underwater environments. From rocky reefs and swim-throughs to deeper technical sites, the area provides plenty of variety for all levels of experience.

The centre is run by two instructors, Violetta and Gabriele, who focus on both recreational and technical diving. They are affiliated with RAID, providing a structured pathway for divers looking to progress through various certification levels.

Full Dive is committed to environmental sustainability, holding Silver membership with The Oceancy for their involvement in the Sustainable Scuba Diving and Less Plastic, Live Fantastic! initiatives. All instruction and boat trips are conducted with these conservation principles in mind.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of RAID certifications. Beginners can start with Try Dive, Scuba Diver, or Open Water courses, while those looking to progress can enrol in Advanced 35, Explorer 30, or Master Rescue.

For technical divers, the centre offers an extensive range of specialised training, including Nitrox, Deep 40, and various decompression diving courses such as Deco 40, Deco 50, Deco 60, and Deco 80/100. They also provide instruction in rebreather diving with AP CCR, JJ CCR, and Liberty CCR courses, alongside Divemaster and Instructor training.

The Galathea is a 14-metre vessel specifically designed to accommodate divers. It is powered by twin 400cv FTP engines, ensuring reliable and efficient transit to the dive sites. The boat features a large sun deck, a spacious aft deck, and two comfortable ladders to assist with entries and exits.

Onboard facilities include a kitchen, a bathroom with a hot shower, and plenty of space for relaxing between dives. For full-day excursions to Giannutri or Giglio, the crew provides breakfast, snacks, lunch, and drinks. The vessel is also equipped to support technical diving, with Nitrox and Trimix available on board.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of rental kit, including wetsuits, drysuits, BCDs, regulators, fins, and masks. For those requiring technical support, they provide D12 manifold cylinders and S80 or S40 stage cylinders. Torches and dive computers are also available for hire.

Full Dive is a designated test centre for Otter drysuits and Diveled, allowing divers to try these specific drysuits and underwater torches before purchasing. The centre also provides equipment sales, repairs, and cylinder recharges, including 15-litre fills.
