Yasmine Dive Center

Yasmine Dive Center is situated in the new development of Port Yasmine Hammamet, just a short distance from the main town. The centre operates out of the Yasmine Hammamet Marina, providing a professional base for excursions into the Gulf of Hammamet.

The geography of this area is ideal for diving, as the large gulf provides a natural shelter that keeps the waters relatively calm. This setting allows for a wide range of diving, from introductory sessions in a pool to deeper explorations of natural sites and historical wrecks.

The centre is affiliated with CMAS and is officially recognised by the Tunisian Federation of Underwater Activities. They focus on providing personalised instruction through reduced buddy pairs, ensuring that every diver receives appropriate supervision.

Instruction is available in several languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Hungarian, Czech, and Arabic. This multilingual approach makes it straightforward for international divers to follow theory sessions and dive briefings.

Training is centred around the CMAS curriculum, including the full CMAS 1* course. This programme is structured over a week and includes between 6 and 8 sea dives with a maximum depth of 20 metres, alongside five 20-minute theory lessons.

Beyond basic certification, the centre offers specialised training for more experienced divers, including Deep and Wreck courses. They also facilitate introductory sessions, such as pool-based baptisms, for those looking to experience diving for the first time.

The centre provides a complete range of equipment for hire, including regulators, BCDs, and wetsuits. They also stock kit suitable for younger divers, with equipment available for children aged 10 and over.

For those interested in night diving, torches are available to ensure you can navigate the seabed after dark. All necessary kit is provided without additional surcharges, making it easy to arrive with just your personal items.

The waters of the Gulf of Hammamet are known for being sheltered, which helps maintain excellent visibility and calm conditions throughout the year. Because the area is protected by an immense gulf, it remains a reliable destination in all seasons.

During the winter months, the centre recommends using a 5.5 mm wetsuit to maintain comfort. The lack of significant pollution in the area contributes to the clarity of the water, making it suitable for both reef and wreck exploration.
