Section Plongee Du Cafc

The Section Plongée du CAFC operates within the Cercle Amical Français de Casablanca, a large sporting and cultural complex spanning twenty hectares in the heart of the city. While the CAFC itself has been a fixture of Casablanca since the 1960s, the diving school was established in 2011 to provide dedicated underwater training.

This is a centre built on a foundation of sporting discipline. Rather than a typical coastal dive shop, it functions as a specialised training section, making it a practical choice for divers looking to formalise their skills or for younger divers starting their journey in a controlled setting.

The diving section was founded by Monsieur Molla and Bernard Laffaineur, and it continues to operate with a focus on technical proficiency and safety. The teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that pool-based training is non-negotiable for mastering the reflexes needed to assist a buddy or manage buoyancy.

Management and administration are handled by a dedicated team, including Bernard Laffaineur, Jalil Bennouna, and Mounir Izem. This structure ensures that the administrative side of your training and membership is managed professionally, allowing the instructors to focus on the water.

The school provides a structured pathway for divers of all ages, with a specific emphasis on training the younger generation alongside adults. The curriculum is designed around the acquisition of essential safety reflexes through regular pool sessions, ensuring that theory is backed by practical muscle memory.
