Acqua Sub

Located in Vitoria, Acqua Sub has been a cornerstone of the local diving community since 1998. As the only PADI 5 Star IDC centre in the state, it serves as a primary hub for both recreational enthusiasts and those pursuing professional diving careers.

The centre is built on a foundation of technical expertise and environmental stewardship. Whether you are looking to complete your first Open Water course or are advancing through the complexities of Trimix and sidemount diving, the facility is geared towards high-level instruction and marine conservation.

The team is led by Ivan Costa Santos, a PADI Course Director who has been shaping the centre's high standards since its inception. This level of leadership ensures that the training provided meets the most rigorous professional benchmarks in the industry.

Instruction is delivered in both Portuguese and English, making it accessible to international divers. The staff consists of experienced professionals covering a vast range of specialities, from technical gas blending to underwater photography and marine biology.

Beyond standard recreational training, the team focuses heavily on environmental awareness. They incorporate conservation-led learning into their programmes, including projects focused on coral reef protection and shark awareness.

The course catalogue is one of the most extensive in the region, spanning the entire spectrum of diving. For beginners, they offer Discover Scuba Diving and the Open Water Diver course, progressing through Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster.

For those moving into technical territory, the centre provides a full suite of PADI Tec courses. This includes Tec 40, Tec 45, and Tec 50, as well as specialized training in Trimix, Sidemount, and Advanced Wreck. They also offer Tec 65 and the full Trimix Diver progression.

Professional development is a core strength, with the centre acting as an IDC facility. They train future instructors through the Instructor Development Course (IDC) and offer specialized training for Gas Blenders and Emergency First Response instructors.
