The centre provides full equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit, including wetsuits, masks, fins, and cylinders. For divers with fewer than 20 logged dives, there is a specific equipment hire programme available between April and December.

The local reefs are a haven for macro enthusiasts. You can find a variety of small organisms including the Ibaratatsu, Minami-hakogefu, Yashahaze, Hirenaganejibingbo, and Benikaeruan-kou.

Seasonal highlights include the spawning period of the Aori-ika, which typically peaks in July. During this time, the area becomes a focal point for observing their unique reproductive behaviours.

Other resident species include the Nekozame (baby sharks), Igariguriumushi, and Miyako-umiusi. You may also encounter the Ubauo while exploring the various reef structures.

Diving in the Ito area is subject to variable currents depending on the specific site being visited. Visibility typically ranges between 7 and 15 metres.

The most favourable period for diving and accessing reduced equipment hire rates is from April to December. Divers should plan their trips to avoid the typhoon season to ensure stable conditions.
