MWDC Mermaid Wonderland Dive Center

Mermaid Wonderland Dive Center (MWDC) is situated in Kampung Paya, on the island of Tioman. It serves as a base for divers looking to explore the local marine environment, from shallow reef flats to more complex underwater structures.

The centre operates as an SSI affiliated facility, providing a structured environment for both recreational exploration and formal training. Its location in the heart of this tropical region allows for direct access to the surrounding coral ecosystems.

The centre is run by a team of experienced, SSI-certified instructors. They focus on providing guided adventures and structured training programmes for a variety of diver profiles.

Instruction is provided in English and Chinese, ensuring clear communication during academic sessions and in the water. The team's approach is built around their local knowledge of the Tioman marine life and underwater topography.

MWDC offers a full suite of SSI certification courses. For those starting their journey, the Open Water Diver course includes 6 confined environment sessions and 4 open water sessions, with a maximum depth of 18 metres.

For divers looking to expand their skills, the centre provides the SSI Advanced Adventurer course, which involves 5 academic sessions and 5 open water sessions with a depth limit of 30 metres. The Advanced Open Water Diver course is also available, covering a maximum depth of 40 metres through 8 open water sessions, ultimately providing a total of 5 certificates.
