Blue Tang Divers has been operating along the northern coast of the Dominican Republic since 2002. Situated within the five-star Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada complex, the centre serves as a professional hub for divers looking to explore the reefs of Sosúa Bay and the surrounding Atlantic waters.

The centre is well-positioned for those arriving via cruise ship, offering pick-up services from Taino Bay just 10 minutes away. This logistical flexibility makes it a practical choice for divers looking to fit excursions into a specific itinerary.

The centre operates as a PADI Dive Resort with an international team of instructors, including Francesc, Daniel, Amos, Johnson, Julio, Amelio, and Samara. This diverse team ensures that instruction and guiding are available in English, Spanish, and French.

Blue Tang Divers offers a comprehensive range of PADI training programmes. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or work through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

The centre utilises a catamaran for its diving excursions, providing a stable platform for exploring the coast. The vessel is equipped with shaded areas to ensure comfort for divers between descents.

These trips cover a variety of environments, from the vibrant coral reefs of Paradise Island to the unique freshwater passages of the local lagoons.

A full range of rental kit is available on-site, allowing you to dive without transporting your own heavy equipment. This includes regulators, wetsuits, fins, and masks.

For those beginning their training, the centre utilises the hotel's swimming pool for initial practical sessions before moving into the ocean.

The reefs are home to a variety of colourful residents, including angelfish and various species of reef fish. You can regularly spot moray eels tucked into the reef structure and sea turtles cruising through the water.
