Goa Diving

Goa Diving has been a cornerstone of the Indian diving scene since 1991. Founded by William Downie, it holds the distinction of being the first diving school established on the Indian continent.

Operating from the coastal village of Bogmalo, the centre is ideally positioned for easy access, being just a 10-minute transfer from Dabolim Airport. This long-standing presence has allowed the centre to develop a deep understanding of the local marine environment and its diverse dive sites.

The centre is staffed by PADI-certified professionals, providing instruction from entry-level divers through to those pursuing professional qualifications. All communication and instruction are conducted in English.

With over three decades of experience, the team focuses on small group diving and offers private charters for those seeking a more tailored experience. Their expertise extends to exploring new sites and managing diverse training needs.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of PADI certifications. You can begin your journey with the Open Water Diver course and progress through the Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver levels.

For those looking to turn a passion into a career, the centre offers the Emergency First Response and Dive Master courses. This comprehensive curriculum ensures a clear pathway for divers aiming for professional status.

The centre provides a range of rental equipment for divers who do not wish to carry their own kit. This includes regulators, fins, masks, and wetsuits.

For those looking to extend their bottom time, the facility supports night diving operations. All shore-based facilities are designed to support both recreational and professional training programmes.

Diving in the area ranges from shallow reef explorations to more advanced outings. The Netrani Island site is specifically noted as being suited for advanced divers due to its location and conditions.
