Seahorse Dive Center

Seahorse Dive Center serves as a gateway to the southern seas of Sri Lanka, situated along the shores of Unawatuna. Established in 2005 by Rohana Widanage, the centre has grown from a local operation into an established PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort with over 20 years of experience in the region.

The centre is dedicated to exploring the vibrant reefs and tranquil blue waters that characterise this stretch of coastline. Their approach combines long-standing local knowledge with a commitment to marine conservation and sustainable diving practices.

As a PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort, the centre provides a high standard of instruction for all levels of experience. The team is composed of certified PADI instructors who manage everything from initial training to advanced certifications.

Safety is managed through strict adherence to PADI guidelines, with a focus on small group sizes. You will typically dive in groups of no more than five divers per guide, ensuring close supervision and a personalised experience on the reef.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, progressing through to the Advanced Open Water Diver qualification.

Beyond standard recreational courses, the centre also offers Freediving instruction and various other professional certifications for those looking to advance their diving careers.

The centre provides access to quality branded equipment for those looking to hire a full kit or specific items. This includes regulators, wetsuits, fins, and masks, allowing you to dive without transporting your own heavy gear.

For those staying on-site, the centre offers luxury accommodation featuring air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms and sea views, providing a comfortable base between dives.
