“Blue“ Diving Center

Situated in the municipality of Nea Propontida, Blue Diving Center sits right on the beach of Nea Potidea in Chalkidiki. This location offers immediate access to the water, making it a practical base for both local divers and those travelling from Thessaloniki or the nearby airport.

As an SSI-affiliated centre, the base focuses on guiding divers through the local marine environment. Whether you are looking to start your training or are a certified diver seeking daily excursions, the centre provides the infrastructure to explore the Greek coastline.

The centre operates as an SSI-affiliated diving base, providing instruction and guided excursions. They cater to a variety of skill levels, from those taking their very first breaths underwater to more experienced divers looking to expand their certifications.

Training is structured around the SSI curriculum, ensuring a standardised approach to safety and skill acquisition. The team is available to assist with equipment queries and provide guidance on the local diving conditions and sites.

The centre provides a full progression of SSI training programmes. Beginners can start with the Try Scuba programme or move through the Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver certifications.

For those looking to advance their skills, the centre offers the Advanced Adventure course. They also facilitate upgrades for divers looking to move from the Scuba Diver level to Open Water Diver.

The centre operates a versatile fleet to suit different types of trips, ranging from a 7m speed boat to a 18m luxury boat. For smaller groups or specific excursions, they also utilise a 14m motor boat and a 12m luxury boat.

These vessels support various trip formats, including daily two-dive excursions and longer cruises lasting 8 hours. They also offer shorter 4-hour trips and 2-hour sunset trips for those looking for a shorter time on the water.

Full equipment hire is available on-site for divers who do not wish to carry their own kit. This includes all the necessary components for a complete diving setup.

The base is equipped with various amenities to support divers before and after their sessions. Facilities include a kitchen, living room, and showers to ensure you can rinse off and relax after a day on the boat.

The local waters host a variety of larger pelagic and reef species. You may encounter Amberjack, Lionfish, and Scorpionfish patrolling the area, alongside various species of jellyfish.

For those with an eye for detail, the seabed offers plenty of macro life. Keep a lookout for Nudibranchs, Octopus, and various species of Muraena tucked into the crevices of the reef.

The environment is also home to several crustaceans, including Lobster, as well as Barrel Snails and Charonia Variegata. Sea urchins are also commonly found amongst the rocky sections of the seabed.
