Alanya Diving Center

Located in the heart of Alanya, this centre has been operating since February 2023, providing a gateway to the diverse underwater topography of the Turkish Mediterranean. The area is known for a varied seabed that allows for a wide range of diving styles, from shallow reef flats to deeper explorations.

Whether you are looking to start your training or are an experienced diver seeking new sites, the centre organises trips based on sea conditions, wind direction, and wave height. This ensures that the chosen dive sites are always suitable for the day's specific conditions.

The team consists of professional, multilingual instructors capable of conducting dives and training in Turkish, English, German, and Russian. This makes the centre a practical choice for international divers looking for clear communication during technical briefings or course instruction.

Instructional standards follow both PADI and TSSF CMAS frameworks. The centre manages divers by their certification levels and experience, ensuring that groups are matched appropriately for the environment, whether you are exploring a shallow reef or a deeper wreck.

The centre offers a complete progression of training through PADI and TSSF CMAS affiliations. Beginners can start with the Discover Scuba Diver programme, which does not require swimming skills, while those looking to certify can take the PADI Open Water Diver course.

Advanced training is also available, including PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Rescue Diver, and PADI Divemaster programmes. The centre also provides Emergency First Response training and a variety of PADI Specialty courses to help you refine specific skills.

The diving excursions are conducted via boat, which is equipped with essential amenities for a full day on the water. You will find shaded areas to escape the sun, onboard toilets, and a freshwater shower to rinse off after your dives.

Lunch is provided on board during the trips, though additional drinks are available for purchase. The boat serves as a mobile base for both certified divers and non-divers, who can enjoy swimming and sunbathing while the dive teams are in the water.

For certified divers, the centre provides 12-litre steel cylinders, while beginners are supplied with 10-litre cylinders. The equipment is compatible with both DIN and international connections, making it easy for those travelling with their own regulators to integrate with the centre's kit.

Divers are welcome to bring their own personal equipment, provided it is regularly maintained. For those who prefer not to carry their own kit, rental options are available, including masks, fins, snorkels, and wetsuits.

The marine life in this part of the Mediterranean is diverse, with various fish species inhabiting the reefs and rocky outcrops. You may encounter the monk seal in these waters, though they are considered a rare sighting.

Beyond the larger pelagics and fish, the underwater landscape is populated by a variety of marine animals that thrive in the local currents and reef structures.

Dive sites are selected every morning based on the sea state, specifically taking into account the wind direction and wave height. This approach ensures that the boat can anchor safely and that the surface conditions are manageable for entry and exit.
