Lazy Seal Dive Center

Lazy Seal Dive Center is situated at the Küçükyalı Limanı in Maltepe, serving as a gateway to the marine environments surrounding the Princes' Islands. Since its founding in 2020, the centre has focused on providing access to the underwater world of Istanbul through structured training and guided excursions.

Operating from the local marina, the centre organises daily trips to several key sites across the archipelago. Whether you are looking to complete your initial certification or are an experienced diver seeking new sites, the centre provides the logistical support needed for trips into the Marmara Sea.

The team is composed of 6 instructors, providing a range of expertise across both PADI and CMAS affiliations. This dual affiliation ensures that divers can follow different training pathways depending on their personal preference or existing certification.

Instruction covers the full spectrum of recreational diving, from introductory sessions for those new to the water to professional-level courses. The staff is available to guide you through various specialties, including underwater navigation and buoyancy control.

The centre provides a comprehensive catalogue of courses under both PADI and CMAS frameworks. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, with the option to progress to the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers several specialties, including Night Diver, Deep Diver, and Underwater Navigation. Professional divers can also undertake training for the Divemaster and Instructor Development Course (IDC) levels.

The centre operates a dedicated diving boat with a capacity for 50 divers. It is designed to facilitate daily excursions to the various islands, including Büyükada, Burgazada, and Heybeliada.

On board, you will find snacks and water provided to keep you hydrated and fuelled between dives. The boat is equipped to handle both daytime excursions and night dives, allowing for a variety of underwater experiences.

A full range of diving kit is available for hire on-site, covering everything from regulators and BCDs to fins and masks. This allows you to travel light if you do not wish to carry your own full set of equipment.

For those looking to enhance their skills, the centre offers specialised training in areas such as Peak Performance Buoyancy and Search and Recovery.

Diving in the area is conducted via boat from the Küçükyalı Limanı. The centre operates on a schedule that includes Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with departures typically organised for the morning.
