Cipreia LDA - Sesimbra

Located in the coastal town of Sesimbra near Lisbon, Cipreia Dive Club serves as a gateway to the Atlantic's rocky underwater landscapes. The centre is positioned to offer easy access to local marine environments, making it a practical choice for divers looking to maximise their time in the water without long boat transfers.

As an SSI Diamond Center and an Instructor Training Center, the club operates with a high level of professional accreditation. While the Sesimbra location focuses on land-based access to the house reef, the centre also maintains a presence in Madeira, covering Funchal, Reis Magos, and Porto Santo.

The centre holds high-level affiliations as an SSI Diamond Center, an SSI Instructor Training Center, and a PADI Dive Center. This status indicates a commitment to professional training standards and instructor development.

Instruction and guided dives are conducted in both English and Portuguese. This ensures clear communication regarding dive plans, safety protocols, and marine life identification for both local and international divers.

The centre provides a range of training through SSI and PADI. They offer the Open Water Diver course for those beginning their certification journey.

As an Instructor Training Center, the facility is equipped to support more advanced training pathways, catering to divers looking to progress through various certification levels.

For shore-based diving, the centre provides 12-litre air cylinders, weights, and professional dive guides. This setup is designed to facilitate easy entries and exits at the house reef.

Divers should note that while the centre provides the essentials for a guided dive, personal items such as a Nitrox-compatible dive computer, a dive torch, and a Divevolk waterproof smartphone housing are not included in the standard service.

The house reef and surrounding Atlantic waters are characterised by diverse rocky formations that provide shelter for various local species. You will encounter many of the typical inhabitants of the Atlantic, navigating through natural habitats and stone structures.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants frequent the crevices of the reef, offering plenty for observant divers to find during their exploration of the local seabed.
