DiveCarib is situated inside the National Sailing Academy in English Harbour, providing a professional base for diving in Antigua and Barbuda. As the island's only independent PADI 5-Star training facility, the centre focuses on highly organised boat dive trips and a structured approach to instruction.

You can choose between morning trips, which typically consist of two dives over approximately four hours, or afternoon trips, which offer a single dive over about two and a half hours. For those looking to maximise their time underwater, the centre also offers dawn dives and night dives.

The centre is a comprehensive PADI training facility, offering a full spectrum of certifications. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or work through the Open Water Diver course.

For those looking to progress their skills, the centre provides the Advanced Open Water Diver course and the PADI Enriched Air Diver course. They also offer refresher sessions for divers looking to brush up on their skills before heading back into the water.

Equipment and gases

DiveCarib is the only location on the island offering Nitrox, making it a primary destination for divers looking to manage nitrogen loading more efficiently.

The centre provides a range of services including boat dives and private charters, ensuring that kit and gas are managed with professional standards.

Marine life around English Harbour

The local marine life is diverse, with many species frequenting the reefs and sandy areas. You will regularly encounter nurse sharks, rays, and various reef fish including parrotfish, blue tangs, and sergeant majors.

In the water, keep an eye out for pufferfish, trumpetfish, squirrelfish, and eels. Sand divers are also a common sight when scanning the bottom.

The ecosystem is supported by a variety of smaller inhabitants, including different species of fish that populate the reef structures throughout the day and night.
