The property is built for slowing down properly: private accommodation, a garden, a terrace, a pool looking towards the jungle and a hot tub for the parts of the day when your legs have had enough. The website is available in English and French, which makes planning the stay straightforward in either language.

You stay in Pointe-Noire on Guadeloupe’s west coast, at 62 Chemin des Plaines. The cottages sit in a forested setting rather than directly on the beach, with garden and mountain views shaping the outlook. Caraibe Beach is about 1 mile away, while Marigot Beach is around 1.4 miles away.

This is a useful base if your non-diving plans involve the island’s wilder side. Habitation Côte sous-le-Vent is roughly 0.7 miles away, Cascade le Saut de l’Acomat about 3 miles away, and Morne Mazeau, rising to 613 metres, around 9 miles away by road. The nearest listed restaurant, Parc Aquacole, is about 2,200 feet away; An Ba Tol la and Le Reflet are both around 1 mile away.

Pointe-à-Pitre Le Raizet Airport is about 25 miles away by road, with a driving time of roughly 46 minutes. The beaches and local sights are close enough for a car-based day, but this is not a property where you simply step outside into a resort strip.

The accommodation is the main reason to choose this place. Every cottage has its own personality, and the more unusual options give you something to talk about over breakfast: a treehouse for a change of level, a windmill for something genuinely different, or the traditional bungalow when you want more conventional holiday-home space. The Superior Bungalow works for larger groups, with two bathrooms and room for family living rather than a tight arrangement of beds and bags.

For two, the Wooden Caravan or a smaller Treehouse keeps the stay compact and distinctive. A larger Treehouse gives you more room to spread out, while the One-Bedroom Mill suits a couple who want an individual building rather than a standard hotel room. The exact sleeping arrangement varies by accommodation, so check the selected option carefully before booking; there are no extra beds, and cot availability depends on the option.

Practical details matter when you come back tired and salt-covered. Air conditioning, a fan and soundproofing help with the tropical heat and the night-time racket, while a private entrance gives each cottage its own arrival point. You also have a kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and dining table, plus a seating area with a sofa. The private bathroom includes a shower or bath, and a drying rack is useful for swimwear. The Superior Bungalow is not available to children aged six and under.

This is self-catering accommodation, so the kitchen is part of the daily routine rather than a decorative extra. The refrigerator gives you somewhere to keep cold drinks and provisions, while the stovetop, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine cover the basics when you want food without putting on proper clothes and driving anywhere.

A continental breakfast is available as an option, including breakfast in your room.
