Blue Wave Diving is situated on the private island of Nosy Tsarabanjina, serving as the only dive centre within the Mitsio archipelago. Operating from within the luxury Constance Tsarabanjina lodge, the centre provides access to some of Madagascar's most pristine and intact marine environments.

You can expect a highly flexible diving schedule, with the ability to complete up to four dives in a single day. This includes two morning sessions, one in the afternoon, and night dives which are available upon request. Each trip concludes with a return to the resort, allowing you to transition easily from the water back to the lodge.

The centre operates as a PADI affiliated facility, ensuring a standardised approach to all training and guided excursions. They maintain a professional environment where safety is supported by on-site oxygen security.

To ensure close supervision and a personalised experience, the team maintains a ratio of four divers per guide. Instruction and dive guidance are available in English, French, and Italian, making it accessible for international divers visiting the region.

The centre utilises a dedicated dive boat powered by a Suzuki 250Hp engine to navigate the archipelago. This vessel is used for all daily excursions, including night dives and seasonal wildlife outings.

On board, you will find snacks and water provided to keep you refreshed between dives. The boat is configured to allow for efficient movement between the island and the various reef and faraglioni sites throughout the Mitsio area.

For those travelling light, the centre offers a full range of equipment for hire. They use 12-litre aluminium cylinders, which are filled using an on-site Coltri air compressor.

All necessary kit is available on-site, ensuring you have everything required for both reef exploration and night diving. The centre also provides snacks and drinks to be enjoyed during your boat trips.

The marine life in the Mitsio archipelago is diverse and remarkably intact. You will regularly encounter tropical fish such as butterflyfish, surgeonfish, triggerfish, and clownfish, alongside rays, moray eels, and various species of turtles.

Macro enthusiasts will find plenty to observe among the corals and sandy patches, including nudibranchs, pipefish, and boxfish. The reef structure itself is decorated with vibrant sea anemones (Actiniaria) and various soft coral formations.

Seasonal visitors may be lucky enough to encounter larger pelagics. Between August and September, humpback whales are present in the area, while whale sharks can be observed from October to December.

Diving in the Mitsio archipelago involves navigating various current conditions. At sites like Primo Fratello Beangovona, you can expect to encounter all coefficients of current, which requires careful buoyancy control and awareness of your buddy pair.

The topography of the area, featuring faraglioni and overhanging ledges, creates diverse micro-habitats and varying water movements depending on the tide and local flow.
