DC Mihuric

Situated in Selce along the Kvarner Bay in Croatia, DC Mihuric has been a fixture of the local diving community since 1995. The centre is positioned to take advantage of the region's varied topography, offering access to more than 30 different dive sites across the coast.

The marine life in Kvarner Bay is diverse, with reef structures providing habitat for various large species. You can encounter Grouper (Epinephelus), Common dentex, and Conger eel (Congridae) amongst the rocks and ledges.

The reefs are beautifully decorated with Sea fan (Gorgoniidae) and various sponges (Porifera), alongside rare Elkhorn coral. These structures support a wide array of crustaceans, including spiny lobster.

For those interested in macro life, the area is excellent for observing nudibranchs, seahorses, and octopuses. You can also find various species of crabs (Brachyura) and smaller schools of fish tucked into the reef crevices.

Diving is best experienced during the spring, summer, and autumn. While the area offers many sheltered spots, boat diving should be avoided during periods of strong Bura winds.
