Located in Njivice on the island of Krk, Pelagos Diving Center provides a gateway to the diverse underwater topography of the Adriatic. The area is defined by a mix of steep walls, underwater pinnacles, and a significant number of historical shipwrecks that sit at various depths.

Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or seeking to refine your skills through advanced training, the centre is positioned to serve a wide range of experience levels. The local sites offer a variety of environments, from shallow reefs to deeper wreck explorations.

The centre is managed by Denis Rukavina and operates with a team of three experienced instructors and Divemasters. The staff is proficient in English, ensuring clear communication for international divers during briefings and training sessions.

Instruction is provided through the SSI framework, covering a comprehensive curriculum. The team is known for a welcoming approach, often providing homemade cookies to divers following their sessions to maintain a relaxed, social atmosphere.

Pelagos Diving Center offers a complete range of SSI certifications. Beginners can start with the Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver courses, while those looking to progress can enrol in the Advanced Open Water Diver programme.

The curriculum extends into specialised training, including Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, and Night Diving. For divers looking to enhance their safety and technical skills, the centre also provides Stress & Rescue and Dry Suit courses.

The centre provides a full range of rental equipment for those not travelling with their own kit. To ensure thermal comfort in the Adriatic, they provide 7mm wetsuits.

For divers requiring more gas volume or those planning deeper excursions, the centre stocks steel cylinders in 10L, 12L, and 15L sizes. Nitrox is available on-site, and the centre maintains oxygen safety protocols for all enriched air diving.

The marine life around Njivice is diverse, with many species inhabiting the wrecks and rocky structures. You will frequently encounter various fish species, including large schools of fish around the larger wrecks like Elhawi.

Macro life is a highlight for many divers, with sightings of octopus, seahorses, and nudibranchs. These smaller creatures are often found tucked into the crevices of the wrecks or among the seafloor vegetation.

Among the more permanent residents of the reef and rocky areas, you can find sea anemones and various corals. These provide a rich habitat for a variety of smaller organisms and crustaceans.
