You are on the coast at Polari 1, in Rovinj, Croatia, around 2 miles south of the town centre. The campsite sits directly by the Adriatic, with a two-kilometre beach made up of rocky and pebbled stretches, stone platforms and direct access to the water. Sunloungers, parasols and showers are available along the beach, which saves you from carrying half the contents of the bathroom down to the shore.

Polari Beach is the obvious choice on site, while Cuvi Beach is about 1 mile away and Punta Corrente Park about 2 miles away. Rovinj’s Heritage Museum, Ecomuseum Casa della Batana and aquarium are around 2 to 2.5 miles away. If ancient stone is more your thing than another afternoon on a lounger, Pula and its Roman amphitheatre are about 22 miles away.

The mobile homes are built for practical living rather than polite hotel-room choreography. The bars cover different moments of the day. Delfina Beach Bar handles morning coffee and summer drinks by the shore, while Tuffo Splash Bar adds cocktails, freshly squeezed juices, beers and snacks beside the pool. Fresh Corner sits by reception for refreshments on arrival, and Adria Snack Ružmarin TO GO serves pizzas and burgers for eating on the move or near the water. Breakfast is continental and buffet-style.

Three outdoor pools give you alternatives to the sea: a large freshwater pool with sea views, sunloungers and parasols, a children’s pool and a 600-square-metre spray park with three pools and a water playground. The beach itself supplies the quieter option, with rocky and pebbled areas, stone platforms, showers and places to settle in for a few hours without needing a timetable.

When you feel like moving, you can hire bicycles, play tennis, beach volleyball, basketball, handball or table tennis, and join aerobics. Kayaking and paddleboarding are available on the water, with equipment hire on site. Mini golf, billiards and darts add the sort of low-commitment competition that can remain civilised, provided nobody takes the scoreboard too seriously.
