Blue Fin Divers

Blue Fin Divers has been operating on the island of Naxos since 2006, positioned directly on the beach at Agios Prokopios. The location is highly convenient for those arriving by sea or air, sitting just 5 km from the port and 4 km from the airport.

The centre operates as a PADI 5 Star Resort, providing a professional environment for both holiday divers and those looking to advance their skills. Whether you are starting with a Discover Scuba Diving programme in the calm waters of the bay or heading out to deeper wrecks, the focus remains on quality instruction and safety.

The team consists of experienced, multilingual instructors who lead all dives and training programmes. They work with small groups to ensure a controlled and personalised learning environment for every diver.

Safety is a core component of their teaching philosophy, with instructors taking the necessary time to ensure divers feel calm and relaxed. This approach is designed to build confidence, whether you are completing your first Open Water Diver course or working towards your Divemaster certification.

As a PADI 5 Star Resort, the centre offers a complete catalogue of training, from entry-level programmes like Bubblemaker and Discover Scuba Diving to full Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. For those looking to refine their skills, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Scuba Review courses are also available.

Specialty training is extensive, covering areas such as Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Night Diver. More technical or niche skills can be developed through courses in Underwater Navigator, Search & Recovery, and Underwater Photographer.

The centre provides a full range of rental equipment, featuring high-quality brands such as Cressi, Oceanic, and Scubapro. For those who prefer to use their own kit, a discount is available if you bring your own regulator, BCD, and wetsuit.

On-site facilities include a dive shop where you can find essential gear and accessories. For divers who prefer to travel light, dive computers can be rented for individual dives, and GoPro cameras are available to capture your underwater footage.

The reefs and rocky outcrops are home to a variety of Mediterranean species. You will regularly encounter groupers, moray eels, octopuses, and lobsters sheltering among the rocks. Large schools of fish and amberjack are common, and you may also spot barracuda or southern stingrays.

For those interested in macro life, the area is excellent for spotting nudibranchs and various species of sponges. The diverse habitats, from sandy bottoms to rocky walls, support a rich ecosystem of marine life.

Fixed life is abundant throughout the dive sites, with both soft corals and hard corals providing colour and structure to the reefs. Sponges are also widely distributed across the various underwater landscapes.

Diving in the area is best experienced between April and October. While the Aegean is generally calm, some sites like Calypso Reef and Graviera Reef can experience frequent currents.

Visibility is typically excellent, ranging from 20 to 25 metres depending on the specific site and conditions.
