Located in the Kalamaria district of Thessaloniki, Diving Solutions Thessaloniki serves as a primary hub for both recreational and technical divers in Northern Greece. As a PADI 5 Star centre, it holds a distinctive position in the region, being the only facility specifically recognised for its Tec/Rec capabilities.

The centre operates as a full-service diving hub, catering to those looking to explore the local coastline and the wrecks of the Aegean. From introductory Discover Scuba Diving sessions to complex technical decompression diving, the focus remains on skill expansion and underwater exploration.

The team is comprised of professional, certified instructors who prioritise a patient approach to teaching. This is particularly important for their wide range of students, which includes children participating in Bubblemaker programmes through to advanced technical divers.

Led by Vasilios, the centre maintains a high standard of instruction across all PADI disciplines. The staff is trained to manage everything from basic buoyancy control to the complexities of sidemount and trimix diving, ensuring a safe environment for every buddy pair.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the entire PADI progression. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or Open Water Diver, while those looking to refine their skills can take Peak Performance Buoyancy or the PADI Scuba Refresher.

The local waters host a variety of marine life that can be seen during reef and wreck dives. You may encounter Grouper (Epinephelus) near the structures, alongside various fish and octopuses moving through the terrain.

The seabed is characterised by various corals and sea anemones, providing a textured environment for observing smaller species. Looking closely at the reef and wrecks, you may also find various crustaceans and other macro life.

In the open water, sightings of Dolphin (Delphinidae) are possible, adding to the experience of the regional pelagics.

Diving in the region is subject to varying conditions depending on the specific site. Some sites, such as Koursaros Beach, are accessible via a short surface swim from a neighbouring beach, while others require longer transit times via vehicle.

Water temperatures at sites like the Epanomi Wreck can reach approximately 21°C during the summer months. Divers should always check local conditions for specific site requirements, such as the advanced depth profiles required for Porto Valitsa or Avlaki.
