Cetaria Diving Center Scopello

Cetaria Diving Center is a long-established presence in the region, having operated since 1996. Located in the medieval village of Scopello, the centre serves as a primary gateway to the protected marine areas surrounding the coast of Castellammare del Golfo.

The centre specialises in guided excursions through the Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro. These trips focus on exploring the diverse underwater topography of the reserve, from steep drop-offs to coastal caves.

The centre is run by a qualified team of instructors and guides who prioritise small group sizes. This approach ensures a high level of attention and comfort for every diver and snorkeller on board.

They provide guided excursions for all levels, from beginners to experienced divers. All activities are conducted by qualified personnel to ensure safety and a professional experience throughout the trip.

The centre offers training for those looking to obtain international certifications. Their curriculum includes the Open Water Diver course for beginners through to more advanced levels.

The centre operates RIBs for excursions, with a maximum capacity of 24 people. To ensure diver comfort, they typically limit occupancy to 14 people per trip.

Excursions depart from the port of Castellammare del Golfo. These trips are scheduled in two sessions: one in the morning from 09:30 to 13:30, and another in the afternoon from 15:00 to 19:00.

During the boat trips, guests are provided with water, juice, seasonal fruit, and organic white wine.

The centre provides a full range of equipment hire for both diving and snorkeling activities. This includes wetsuits, fins, masks, and regulators for those who prefer not to carry their own kit.

The dive sites are located within a protected marine reserve, offering a variety of habitats including reefs, caves, and walls. The terrain is characterised by steep drop-offs and coastal inlets.
