Dive Academy

Dive Academy Bodrum is situated in the Kumbahçe district of Muğla, serving as a central hub for diving on the Bodrum peninsula. The centre operates primarily from the Kumbahçe İskelesi, using the Berk D boat to access the diverse underwater landscapes of the Aegean coast.

The diving season runs from April through November, offering a wide window for both local and international divers to explore the region. The area is defined by a mix of historical shipwrecks, colourful reef systems, and hidden bays that cater to a broad spectrum of abilities.

The centre is staffed by an international team of instructors holding certifications from CMAS/TSSF, PADI, and SSI. This multi-agency affiliation ensures that divers can complete various training pathways regardless of their preferred certifying body.

Specialist instruction is a core part of the academy, including PADI Public Safety Diver and SSI XR programmes. For those requiring specific accessibility, the centre provides IAHD adaptive diving programmes, making the underwater world accessible to divers with disabilities.

Beyond standard recreational diving, the team facilitates specialised workshops in underwater photography and underwater archaeology. The instructors also run Junior Diver programmes, allowing younger divers to begin their training in a structured environment.

The academy provides a comprehensive range of training from entry-level to advanced technical disciplines. You can start with an Open Water Diver course and progress through various specialties including Nitrox, Deep, and Wreck diving.

For more advanced divers, the centre offers SSI XR training and navigation courses. They also provide specialised training in dry suit usage and underwater photography, catering to those looking to refine their technical skills or artistic approach.

The Berk D is the centre's dedicated diving vessel, used for daily boat dives across the Bodrum peninsula. It carries divers to various sites, including ancient wrecks and coral reefs tucked away in the local bays.

The boat supports a variety of diving activities, including night dives and guided exploration tours. It serves as the primary platform for reaching the more remote reefs and historical sites that are inaccessible from the shore.

The centre offers full equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit, including regulators, BCDs, and fins. For more basic needs, masks, snorkels, and fins are also available for rent, alongside wetsuits.

Shore-based facilities include a modern centre at the Kumbahçe pier to support divers between sessions. The academy also provides maintenance services for diving equipment.
