This is a proper beachfront position, not a hotel that requires a shuttle before you can see the sea.

Tofo Beach is around 3.7 miles away by road, or about 3.5 miles on foot, while Tofinho Beach is around 2.5 miles away by road. Nearby places for an evening drink or meal include Dinos Beach Bar, around 3 miles away by road, and several restaurants and cafés around 2.5 to 2.7 miles away. Tofinho Monument is roughly 3 miles away by road.

The useful distinction here is space. The accommodation includes family rooms and apartments with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, sofa, seating area and desk, so you can make coffee, prepare something uncomplicated and keep the day’s wet clothes from taking over the bed. Air conditioning and a fan help with the coastal heat, while a mosquito net, soundproof rooms and extra-long beds deal with rather more important matters than decorative cushions. Private bathrooms include a bath or shower, and selected accommodation has pool or garden views. Balconies, terraces, patios and private entrances give you an outdoor place to sit, with free Wi-Fi available in the rooms.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Casa Na Praia Restaurant, where the table is about 20 metres from the water. Breakfast is included, and the ocean view starts early—useful when your first boat departure has made the alarm clock unpopular.

The cooking combines Mediterranean flavours with Indian Ocean seafood and local specialities. Fresh fish comes from local fishermen, while Matapa brings a traditional Mozambican vegetarian dish to the menu. Natural fruit juices and tropical cocktails cover the liquid side of the operation, and the hotel also has a bar and a pool bar for the less ambitious post-dive meal plan.

The in-room kitchen gives you another option when you want food on your own schedule. There is a minimarket on site, grocery delivery is available, and room service is offered. The arrangement is breakfast included rather than an all-inclusive package, so you can choose between the restaurant, a simple meal in the apartment or a drink without having to turn every decision into a dining expedition.

The outdoor pool, hot tub, open-air bath and sun terrace give you several ways to spend an afternoon when your legs have had enough of fins. Sun loungers, umbrellas, garden seating and picnic areas make the practical version of relaxation easy: find a chair, find some shade and stay there until hunger wins.

There is also a spa and wellness area with a relaxation lounge, although the listed facilities do not turn this into a treatment menu. For couples travelling with a non-diver, the surrounding options are more varied than simply waiting at the bar: surfing lessons, canoeing, snorkelling, horse riding, fishing, ocean safaris, mangrove cruises and dhow or lounge-boat trips are available in the area.

Electric bicycle tours, cultural excursions and wildlife-focused outings add something for dry days. Families have access to family accommodation, a children’s pool, an indoor play area and babysitting or child services. Bicycle hire, walking tours and local-culture tours give you a way to see more of Tofo without treating every free hour as another water session.

Inhambane Airport is around 9 miles from the property by road. An airport shuttle can be arranged on request, and taxi transfers can also be organised from Inhambane or Maputo. Flights from Maputo International Airport operate three times a week—Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays—while bus transfers are possible from Maputo, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

The final 100 metres to the property require a 4x4 because of the beachfront access. That is the detail to deal with before arriving, particularly if you are driving a normal hire car. By road, Tofo is about 310 miles from Maputo and the journey takes roughly eight hours. On site, you have free private parking, a 24-hour front desk, private or express check-in and check-out, lockers, daily housekeeping and a minimarket.
