Tropicalsub Diving

Located in the village of Deshaies on the Côte sous le vent, Tropicalsub Diving offers an intimate diving experience in one of Guadeloupe's most biodiverse regions. The centre operates as a PADI 5 Star and ANMP affiliated facility, providing a high standard of professional training. The team is composed of professional instructors who manage everything from introductory dives to advanced professional certifications.

Environmental responsibility is a core part of their identity. The centre is a member of the Reguar association, coordinated by Kap Natirel, which manages the Guadeloupe Marine Turtle Network. This commitment to conservation extends to their daily operations, including advising divers on the use of mineral-based sunscreens to protect the coral ecosystems.

For your peace of mind, the centre is a DAN insured facility. They offer services in both English and French, making them accessible to a wide range of international divers.

Tropicalsub Diving provides a comprehensive range of PADI and ANMP training programmes. You can begin your journey with the Open Water Diver course and progress through the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

For those looking to turn diving into a profession, the centre offers training up to the Divemaster and Instructor Development Course (IDC) levels. They cater to all stages of a diver's progression, from those taking their first breaths underwater to professional candidates.

The reefs surrounding Deshaies are defined by their incredible coral architecture. You will find a vast array of Hard coral (Scleractinia) and Soft coral (Alcyonacea), alongside colourful Sea fan (Gorgoniidae) and various sponges (Porifera), including barrel sponges.

Marine life is abundant across the different habitats. The walls and reefs are home to diverse reef fish, including parrotfish (Calotomus), wrasse (Labridae), damselfish (Pomacentridae), and various rockfish. Larger pelagic fish such as tuna, jack, and platax are regularly seen patrolling the deeper sections of the sites.

Turtle sightings are a highlight of the local waters. Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) and Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) are frequently encountered, particularly during dedicated turtle safaris.

From December to May, the area becomes a significant corridor for Humpback whales, adding a seasonal dimension to the local marine life.
