Infini Plongee Guadeloupe

INFINI Plongée Guadeloupe is situated in the south of Basse Terre at the Marina de Rivière Sens, positioned conveniently between Basse Terre and Vieux Fort. The centre has been established for over seven years, providing a reliable base for divers looking to explore the Caribbean waters of Guadeloupe year-round.

The centre operates with a focus on a convivial, family atmosphere where the diving day often begins with coffee and conversation among the group. Its location within the marina provides easy access to local shops, restaurants, and pharmacies, making it a practical base for both short trips and longer stays.

The centre is affiliated with both SSI and ANMP, offering a wide range of training paths. They cater to a variety of levels, from children's introductory sessions to advanced diver training.

Instruction is provided for a broad spectrum of certifications, including the French ANMP progression such as PE 12, Niveau 1 (PE 20), PA 20, and PE 40. They also run SSI programmes, ensuring divers can follow international standards for their training and specialties.

The training catalogue is extensive, covering the full SSI progression from Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver through to Advanced Open Water and Master Diver. They also offer specialised training such as Dive Guide, Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, and Perfect Buoyancy.

For those following the ANMP curriculum, the centre provides PE 12, Niveau 1, PA 20, PE 40, Niveau 2, and PA 40. They also offer specific skills-based training including Night and Limited Visibility, Navigation, and Dive Stress and Rescue.

The centre operates the Coyotte, a spacious semi-rigid boat designed for rapid transit to the dive sites. It is capable of carrying up to 12 divers per trip, allowing for small group outings that avoid long waits for exploration dives.

Departures are scheduled for morning and afternoon sessions, with the boat moored just three metres from the centre's facility for easy loading and unloading.

The shore-based facility is spacious and secure, offering a dedicated area to store belongings. For divers on multi-day trips, there is a 'kit nursery' service to keep your equipment safe and organized.

On-site amenities include hot showers and toilets for rinsing off after a dive. Full equipment hire is available for those not travelling with their own kit, covering everything needed for a complete dive.

The reefs are teeming with life, including parrotfish, damselfish, butterflyfish, and various species of grouper. You will frequently encounter triggerfish, grunts, and trumpetfish moving through the coral structures.

Larger pelagics and curious residents include great barracuda and tarpon. Sea turtles and rays are also common sights on the sandy patches and near the reef edges.

For those interested in macro life, the sites like Mazarin offer a rich environment for photographers. You can find French angelfish and various species of colorful reef fish inhabiting the intricate coral gardens.

Diving in this area involves a variety of environments, from shallow reefs to deeper walls and offshore sites. Some locations, such as Le Sec Pâté, can be subject to strong currents, and the centre will only proceed with these dives if the weather and sea conditions are deemed safe.

Because the boat is a semi-rigid, the centre can navigate quickly to sites, but they remain highly attentive to local swell and weather bulletins to ensure all explorations and training sessions are conducted under safe conditions.
