Atabey Dive Center

Atabey Dive Center is situated in the heart of the Marina Royale in Marigot, Saint-Martin. The centre has been operating for 10 years, establishing itself as a modern, immersion-focused hub for those looking to connect deeply with the Caribbean marine environment.

As an SSI affiliated centre, it caters to both new explorers and seasoned divers. The location provides easy access to the island's most interesting underwater features, from vibrant coral reef flats to deeper walls and historic wrecks.

The centre operates with a focus on small-group dynamics and high-end service. To ensure safety and personalised attention, the team maintains a strict ratio of one instructor for every four divers during guided explorations.

Instruction is available in both French and English, making it accessible for international divers. The team covers a wide spectrum of expertise, from introductory dives to advanced technical training and marine ecology.

Atabey Dive Center offers a complete range of SSI training programmes. Beginners can start with the Basic Diver, Scuba Diver, or Open Water Diver courses, while those looking to progress can pursue Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster certifications.

The curriculum extends into specialised and technical disciplines. You can train in specialties such as Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Navigation, and Marine Ecology, or progress into technical territory with Extended Range, Decompression Diving, and Extended Range Nitrox Diving.

The dive boat has a maximum capacity of 10 divers on board. This ensures that even during peak periods, the atmosphere remains calm and the focus stays on the dive itself.

The centre provides Nitrox for divers looking to extend their bottom time. For those who prefer not to carry their own heavy equipment, a full range of kit is available for hire.

The local waters are home to a variety of large pelagics and reef inhabitants. You can regularly encounter sharks, sea turtles, and eagle rays cruising through the water columns, alongside large schools of tropical fish.

The reef ecosystems provide a backdrop of diverse marine life, where the movement of fish through the coral structures is a constant feature of the dives.
