Club De Plongee Des Saintes Pisquettes

Located on the main island of Terre-de-Haut within the Les Saintes archipelago, Pisquettes has been a fixture of the local diving community since April 2000. The centre is positioned just 500 metres from the landing stage at 48 Rue Jean Calot, making it easily accessible for those arriving by daily maritime links from Guadeloupe.

The centre is managed by Françoise and Cédric and operates with a dedicated team of six instructors. The professional staff includes Cédric, an E3 Monitor, and Constance, the centre manager and an E4 Dejeps, PADI OWSI, and SSI OWSI. Other instructors include Maxime (DEJEPS E4), Océane (DEJEPS E3), Thierry (DEJEPS E3, PADI OWSI), and Vincent (DEJEPS E3, SSI OWSI).

Instruction is provided in French, English, Spanish, and German. The team maintains a strict ratio of three divers per guide to ensure personalised progression and safety. The centre is well-equipped to handle younger divers, with programmes available for children starting from age 8.

Pisquettes offers a comprehensive range of training through ANMP, PADI, and SSI affiliations. Beginners can start with the PE 12 (Niveau 1) or introductory discovery dives. The curriculum progresses through PE 20, PE 40, and PA 20, leading to full Niveau 2 certification (PE40 + PA20).

For those looking to advance their professional or specialty skills, the centre provides instruction from OWSI PADI and OWSI SSI levels. The teaching approach focuses on individualised progression and environmental protection.

The Pisquettes is a large, comfortable boat designed to accommodate up to 21 divers. It is a sheltered vessel, providing protection from the sun during trips around the archipelago.

The Pisk8 is a semi-rigid boat used for smaller groups, limited to 10 divers to ensure optimal comfort. Both vessels are utilised for morning and afternoon dive sessions, including dedicated night dives.

The centre provides full equipment hire as part of its diving packages, with the exception of dive computers and compasses. The kit includes Mares 3mm wetsuits for adults and Aqualung 5mm wetsuits for children, alongside Mares BCDs ranging from child sizes to XXL. Regulators are provided by Scubapro (MK25 models) and Mares, complemented by Mares fins and masks.

Shore-based facilities include a spacious reception area, changing rooms, showers, and toilets. For course work and briefings, there is a dedicated meeting room available. The centre also maintains a luggage area and a refrigerator for diver use.

The waters around Les Saintes are home to a variety of pelagics and reef inhabitants. You may encounter turtles, partner rays, and various species of angelfishes during your dives.

The reef is populated by spotted sweetlips, black triggerfish, and giant porcupinefish. French angelfish are also a regular sight amongst the coral formations.

Macro life and smaller residents include various species of octopus and other crustaceans that inhabit the crevices of the archipelago's 14 dive sites.

The centre operates dive trips in both the morning and the afternoon. Night diving is also a regular part of the schedule, with specific rendezvous times on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
