Madisail

Located in the charming seaside village of Case-Pilote on Martinique's northern Caribbean coast, Madisail provides a different approach to coastal exploration. Instead of standard dive boats, the operation utilises a racing trimaran to navigate the waters, prioritising stability and an eco-responsible footprint.

The base is situated directly on the waterfront of Case-Pilote, right next to the REEF restaurant. This allows for easy access to the La Case Madisail meeting point, where trips begin each morning at 8:45 am.

The team is led by Pol, an MF1 diving instructor and experienced skipper who has crossed the Atlantic twice. His background as a former firefighter brings a strong emphasis on safety and prevention to every excursion. He also serves as a guide for the snorkelling sessions.

Jessica manages the commercial side and the preparation of the meals served on board. The team operates in both French and English, ensuring clear communication for international divers and travellers. The service is designed to be inclusive, providing assistance to children, elderly guests, and those with reduced mobility.

The centre's primary focus is on guided snorkelling adventures led by an MF1 instructor. While the current data focuses on these guided excursions rather than a full PADI or SSI course catalogue, the expertise of the instructor ensures a high standard of safety and guidance for all participants.

The Fildou is a 12.16-metre racing trimaran that has a history of participating in the Route du Rhum. Despite its racing pedigree, the vessel is noted for its stability and wide 10-metre beam, making it a comfortable platform for passengers. It carries fewer than 10 people per trip, ensuring an intimate experience.

Onboard, you can expect a focus on comfort during the day's navigation. The service includes healthy, gourmet meals and fresh drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The boat is set up for full-day excursions that combine sailing with guided water activities.

For those opting for snorkelling, the centre provides essential kit including fins, masks, and snorkels. While the focus is on sailing and guided snorkelling excursions, these items are available to ensure you can enjoy the water immediately upon arrival.

The best time to visit the north Caribbean coast is between December and March, when the weather is warm and relatively dry. It is generally advised to avoid the period from July to September due to the peak of the cyclone season.
