Situated in the centre of the Saint-Pierre bay, PAPA D'LO is positioned in a town steeped in history. The centre's location allows for incredibly efficient logistics, with the boat waiting for you directly facing the club. This means your time is spent under the water rather than in transit, with boat trips lasting between 5 and 20 minutes.

The diving here is defined by the dramatic topography of the area. You can choose between shallow reef flats, steep walls descending to 60 metres, or the deep wrecks left by the volcanic history of Mount Pelée. Whether you are looking for a calm exploration or a technical wreck dive, the variety of sites is significant.

The centre operates under the CMAS affiliation, providing a structured curriculum for divers seeking international certification. All instruction is conducted in French.

Teaching ranges from basic discovery dives for beginners to advanced technical training. The curriculum is designed to progress logically from supervised shallow dives to fully autonomous deep diving.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of CMAS certifications. Beginners can start with a discovery dive or the PE12 (Plongeur Encadré 12m) and PE20 (Niveau 1) courses.

For those looking to progress, the centre offers PE40 (Plongeur Encadré 40m), PA20 (Plongeur Autonome 20m), and PA40 (Plongeur Autonome 40m). Advanced divers can pursue the PA60 (Plongeur Autonome 40m/Niveau 2) and the highly advanced PA60 (Plongeur Autonome 60m/Niveau 3).

Technical training is also a core part of the curriculum, with specific courses available for Nitrox (elementary and advanced) and Trimix.

The centre is conveniently located for easy access, with the boat moored directly in front of the club. This setup minimizes the effort required to transport your cylinders and heavy kit to the water's edge.

For technical divers, the facility supports advanced gas mixes. Nitrox is available for decompression optimisation, and the centre also provides Trimix for technical depth excursions.

The marine life is diverse, ranging from the reef flats to deep canyons. You will frequently encounter sea turtles and various species of angel fish.

On the deeper walls and wrecks, look for barracuda and various species of gorgonians, including white and black varieties. You may also spot stingrays and various types of gobies.

The rocky structures and canyons host a variety of smaller life, including moray eels, blennies, and pufferfish. Divers on the walls and reefs can also observe various species of rays and sea slugs.

Conditions can vary depending on the specific site chosen. Some locations, such as La Citadelle or Le Sous Marin, can experience currents that divers should be prepared for.
