Triton Diving

Triton Diving is situated right on the water's edge at the Orsera campsite in Vrsar, Croatia. This prime location allows for seamless access to the sea, with the centre's speedboat moored directly in front of the facility.

Since 2015, the centre has catered to a diverse range of divers, from those taking their first breaths underwater to technical divers seeking deep wrecks. The operation is built around a relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere, making it a comfortable base for solo travellers, families, and groups alike.

The team operates under Croatian and Austrian direction, bringing decades of experience to the Adriatic waters. They are experienced in managing both recreational dives and more demanding technical profiles, ensuring safety remains the priority for every group.

Communication is straightforward, with the team speaking English, German, and Croatian. This multilingual approach helps ensure that briefings and training sessions are clear and precise for international divers.

Triton Diving is an SDI affiliated centre, offering a comprehensive range of training from beginner to professional levels. For those starting out, they provide Introduction dives and the Open Water Diver course. Progression continues through Advanced Adventurer Diver, Advanced Buoyancy Diver, and Deep Diver certifications.

Specialised training is available for specific environments and skills, including Wreck Diver, Night and Limited Visibility Diver, Underwater Navigation Diver, and Drysuit Diver. The centre also supports the path to professional status with Rescue Diver and Divemaster programmes. For those looking to expand their technical capabilities, Nitrox training is readily available.

The centre utilises a speedboat to reach dive sites quickly, ensuring you spend more time underwater and less time transiting. The boat is capable of carrying 10 divers when heading to the islands, or 8 divers for dedicated wreck diving trips.

A Zodiac is also available for specific operations. For those looking for something closer to home, the centre offers shore dives at nearby locations like Koversada when weather conditions prevent boat departures.

The centre is a Tecline service station, offering high-quality kit for hire. You can rent a full set of equipment, including 12L aluminium or 12L and 15L steel cylinders with double valves, Tecline regulators, BCDs, masks, fins, and wetsuits. Divers can also hire dive computers, torches, compasses, and even cameras.

On-site facilities include freshwater barrels for rinsing your gear and lockers for personal belongings. For those staying longer, the centre provides a place to leave your equipment between trips. The centre also offers Nitrox blending, with mixes available up to 80% to suit your specific depth requirements.

The local reefs and rocky habitats are home to a variety of fish and interesting invertebrates. You will frequently encounter various fish species and sea hares around the shallower reefs and the house reef.

For those with a keen eye for macro life, the area offers rewarding sightings. Seahorses and nudibranchs are regularly spotted, particularly around the protected areas and the house reef.

In the deeper sections and around the wrecks, the scenery is defined by encrusting anemones and various sponges. The rocky outcrops and walls provide plenty of shelter for the local marine life to thrive.

The diving season typically runs from April to the end of October. During this period, the water temperature ranges from a cool 13°C to a warmer 26°C.

Conditions can vary depending on the site; currents can range from mild to strong depending on the tides. In the event of heavy swell or poor weather, boat trips may be cancelled and replaced with shore dives at Koversada.
