Located in the heart of Makarska, More Sub d.o.o. has been a fixture of the Dalmatian diving scene since 1995. This PADI 5 Star centre is deeply rooted in the local marine environment, with a strong focus on reef conservation and underwater research.

Whether you are looking to explore the rocky coastlines of the Makarska Riviera or take a boat trip to the islands of Hvar and Brač, the centre provides the expertise required for both shallow reef flats and deeper technical dives. Their knowledge of the local seabed, from the Osejava peninsula to the deep wrecks of the Adriatic, is a cornerstone of their operation.

The centre is led by Bojan Runtic, an experienced PADI OWSI who has been operating the business for over thirty years. This long-standing presence in the region ensures a deep understanding of local conditions and site-specific nuances.

Instruction is delivered with a focus on safety and precision, maintaining a ratio of two divers per guide. This ensures a controlled environment for both recreational exploration and advanced technical training.

The training programme covers the full PADI progression, starting from the Open Water Diver course through to Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver. For those looking to specialise, the centre offers courses in Nitrox, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Dry Suit diving.

More advanced divers can pursue technical training, including courses for DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) use and searching techniques. The centre also facilitates technical diving through specialized curriculum and supports divers looking to expand their skills in cave and wreck environments.

The centre operates a Highfield Patrol speed RIB for excursions, providing efficient transit to various dive sites. This vessel is used for trips to the islands of Hvar and Brač, as well as local reef dives.

The facility supports a wide range of diving activities, including night dives and technical diving. On-site, you will find essential amenities for preparing for your dives, including access to apartments for those staying in the Villa series.

The reefs and walls are characterised by a rich variety of fixed life, including gorgonians, yellow corals, and various sponges. You will often see sea squirts, anemones, and diverse species of molluscs and echinoderms clinging to the rockwork.

In the water column and around the reefs, look for Salema porgy, sea bream, wrasse, and damselfish. Larger species such as grouper, moray eel, and various types of snapper are also frequently encountered.

For macro enthusiasts, the area is home to a variety of crustaceans including lobster, spiny lobster, hermit crabs, and spider crabs. You can also find octopus, cuttlefish, and various species of shrimp and sea cucumbers.

In specific locations like the Punta Drašnica reef, you may encounter catsharks.

Diving conditions vary depending on the specific site and wind direction. The Neretva channel can experience moderate to strong currents, particularly around the B.E.U.S. wreck on Hvar.

In some areas, such as the Brač reefs, the water is well-protected from the Jugo wind, though other sites may experience larger swells. Visibility can range from 7 metres to 30 metres depending on the season and specific location.
