Located in the Kampor bay on the island of Rab, Kron Diving has been a fixture of the local diving community since 1996. The area is defined by its crystalline waters and a landscape that transitions from shallow reef flats to dramatic underwater walls and canyons.

The island offers a diverse maritime environment, making it an ideal base for both recreational exploration and serious technical diving. Whether you are looking to discover the underwater topography of the Adriatic or to push your limits on deep wreck penetrations, the local sites provide significant variety.

The centre is led by Andreas Kron and operates as an SSI affiliated dive centre. With nearly three decades of experience in the region, the team is well-versed in the specific conditions and topography of the Kvarneric area.

Instructional standards cover the entire spectrum of diving, from children's programmes like Try Scuba for those aged 8 and up, to professional instructor training. The presence of an in-house instructor trainer means you can progress through your professional career stages directly on site.

For those returning to the water after a long break, the centre organises safety dives in the local bay to ensure you are comfortable before heading out to more challenging sites.

The training programme is comprehensive, following the SSI curriculum from the very first steps of Try Scuba and Basic Diver through to Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver.

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers a wide array of SSI Specialty courses, including Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, Night Diving, and Navigation. They also provide specific training for Dry Suit Diving and Perfect Buoyancy to refine your skills.

Technical training is a core strength here, with courses ranging from Enriched Air Nitrox and Extended Range Nitrox to the most advanced levels, including Technical Extended Range Trimix, Hypoxic Trimix, and CCR diving (including rEvo specific instruction). Professional divers can also complete their Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Instructor training programmes on-site.

The centre operates a fleet of fast boats to reach the various dive sites around Rab and the neighbouring islands. These vessels are designed to minimise transit times, with most sites reached within 5 to 30 minutes.

The boats are equipped with comfortable ladders to make boarding and exiting easy, even when you are carrying a full kit. This is a practical advantage when moving between the boat and the water during a busy dive day.

The shore-based facilities are equipped to support both recreational and technical divers. For those diving in cooler conditions or requiring specific buoyancy control, drysuits are available for hire.

Technical divers will find the necessary gas support for advanced profiles, with Nitrox and Trimix available on-site. The centre also supports closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) diving, catering to the technical community's specific requirements.

The diving environment in this part of Croatia is characterised by excellent clarity, with visibility regularly reaching between 30 and 40 metres during the summer months.

While the area offers many sheltered sites, such as the bay at Zuckerhut, divers should be aware that the topography varies from easy, comfortable sites like Sorinj to more exposed locations further offshore.
