Scuba Cyprus has been a fixture of the local diving community since 1990. As the first and largest professionally run dive centre in the region, they have spent over three decades refining their operations and training programmes. The centre operates from two distinct locations to suit different diving styles. You can head out from Old Kyrenia Harbour on traditional vessels, or visit their base at Camelot Beach in Alsancak to depart via Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB). This dual setup allows them to cover a variety of coastal environments and dive sites throughout the area.

As an SSI affiliated centre, Scuba Cyprus provides a comprehensive range of training from entry-level certifications to professional career paths. Their curriculum is designed to take a diver from their first breath underwater through to becoming a Divemaster or an Open Water Instructor.

The school is well-equipped to handle professional development, offering specialised modules such as Dive Control Specialist and the 'Zero To Hero' programme. This structured approach ensures that those looking to enter the dive industry receive consistent, high-standard instruction.

The training catalogue is extensive, covering every level of the SSI progression. Beginners can start with a Try Dive or move through the Basic Diver, Scuba Diver, and Open Water Diver courses. For those looking for a traditional experience, the centre operates a wooden gullet out of Kyrenia Harbour. These vessels are ideal for private charters and offer a more relaxed atmosphere for divers and non-divers alike.

For more direct access to specific sites, the centre utilises Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB) departing from Camelot Beach in Alsancak. These boats are well-suited for efficient transit to dive locations. On full-day trips, lunch and coffee are provided on board.

The centre maintains a full range of rental kit, including wetsuits, masks, fins, BCDs, regulators, weights, and cylinders. They also stock new equipment from Aqualung and Mares, as well as second-hand gear for those looking to upgrade their personal kit.

Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom times. The centre places a high priority on equipment maintenance, conducting regular checks and upgrades to ensure all rental gear meets safety standards.

The Mediterranean waters around Kyrenia host a variety of larger pelagic and reef species. You can expect to encounter groupers, amberjack, and moray eels patrolling the structures, as well as stingrays and turtles cruising the seabed.
