Set in a secluded hillside location, Anassa is a resort built in the style of a small village, with elegant furnishings, gardens and views towards the sea. You get the polished side of Cyprus here, but the layout gives the place more shape than a single hotel block: rooms, suites, pools, restaurants and terraces are arranged around the grounds.

This is a good fit if your ideal post-dive routine involves a proper shower, an unhurried meal and somewhere comfortable to sit before deciding whether the evening needs anything more ambitious. Couples can settle into the sea views and sunset terrace, while families have a children’s pool, mini club and play areas to keep younger members occupied.

You are in Polis Chrysochous, on the north-west coast of Cyprus, with Latchi about a five-minute drive away. The resort sits directly by a secluded golden-sand beach, so the sea is part of the property rather than something you reach only by car. Ttakkas Bay Beach is around 0.8 miles away, Latsi Beach about 1 mile, and Polis Municipal Beach roughly 1.7 miles away.

The setting also puts the Akamas Peninsula National Park close at hand, around 2.2 miles from the resort. That gives you a straightforward option for a land day, a walk or a change of scenery between dives. For a drink outside the resort, Ilios Beach Bar is around 1.2 miles away by the local road route, while Latchi provides the nearest town base for a short outing.

The room choice is broad, but the useful distinction is simple: decide whether you want garden views, a sea view, more living space or your own pool. A Garden View Room suits a couple who want a more contained base, while the studios and junior suites give you more room to spread out after a day of changing, showering and attempting to keep wet clothes away from the bed. The Junior Suite is the sensible step up for three people, with a separate sitting area and a private bathroom with a bath.

For a couple, the sea-view studios and junior panorama suites put the view at the centre of the stay. If you are travelling with family or want genuine separation rather than a larger bedroom, the interconnecting suites and two-bedroom options make more sense. The Andromeda three-bedroom villa is the largest arrangement, sleeping up to nine people across three bedrooms and bathrooms; that is a villa holiday rather than merely adding a third diver to a room.

Air conditioning, heating, soundproofing and a ceiling fan cover the basics of recovering properly in a warm climate. Balconies, terraces, seating areas and garden or sea views give you somewhere to sit without turning the bed into the only chair in the room. You also get a minibar, coffee machine, kettle, Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping and room service. The pool areas are built for the days when your legs have had enough of fins and stairs. You have indoor and outdoor pools, sun loungers, umbrellas and garden space, with a separate children’s pool for younger swimmers. Direct beach access adds the simplest possible alternative: walk to the sand, find a chair and make a determined effort not to check the time.

Couples can book a couples massage, while body treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures deal with the less glamorous consequences of sun, salt and holiday footwear. Paphos International Airport is around 31 miles away by road, with a drive of roughly 57 minutes. An airport shuttle is offered, and a general shuttle service is also available; arrange either through the hotel. Car hire is available on site, and free private parking with valet service makes a rental car practical if you want to explore the coast and Akamas Peninsula at your own pace.
