Pagona Holiday Apartments is an aparthotel for divers who prefer a bit of elbow room and the option to organise the evening themselves. You have a balcony, a kitchenette and a living area rather than a standard hotel room, which makes it easier to deal with wet towels, post-dive appetites and the general sprawl of travelling with equipment.

The property is family-run, with an outdoor pool, a pool bar and a restaurant on site. It is a practical base in Kato Paphos: part apartment, part holiday hotel, and close enough to the harbour and beaches that you do not need to turn every outing into a transport exercise.

The harbour is about a 10-minute walk, putting restaurants, bars and waterfront walks within easy reach. St Paul's Pillar is around 0.4 miles away, and the Paphos Archaeological Park is roughly 0.9 miles away. The Medieval Castle and the House of Dionysus are also within walking distance, so a non-diving day can include rather more than a second look at the pool.

Paphos International Airport is about 5 miles away. The property also has free private parking nearby, useful if you are hiring a car for beaches and archaeological sites beyond the centre.

The accommodation is built around space and self-catering rather than hotel-room minimalism. Every apartment has a balcony and a kitchenette, with a refrigerator, stovetop, oven, toaster, kettle and kitchenware. For two, the one-bedroom apartments are the sensible middle ground: choose the pool view if you like a more active outlook, or the garden view if greenery suits your morning coffee better. The Superior Apartment also gives a couple more room than a studio. The Two-Bedroom Apartment is the one to look at when family or friends are sharing, as it offers proper separation rather than making everyone negotiate the same sleeping space.

Studios keep things simpler. The standard and superior versions have twin single beds, so they work for friends or for couples happy with separate beds. Air conditioning matters when you return from warm water and a hot deck, while the balcony, private entrance, tiled floor and drying rack make the practical end of the day easier. Daily housekeeping is included, and the bathrooms have a bath or shower, towels and a hairdryer.

Pagona Restaurant handles breakfast, lunch and dinner, with international cooking and a broad choice of snacks. That gives you an on-site option when the day has taken more out of you than planned and the idea of hunting for dinner feels like unnecessary cardio.

The restaurant also serves local and international drinks, including cocktails. By the pool, the Pool Bar adds another place for drinks and cocktails, while the snack bar covers the less formal moments. Your apartment kitchen remains available for a quick meal, cold drinks or breakfast prepared at your own pace, with a dining table and outdoor dining areas when you want to eat outside.

Three pools give the property its main daytime focus: an outdoor swimming pool, a children's pool and a jacuzzi. You can therefore choose between a proper swim, time by the water with family, or the more sedentary approach that involves bubbles and very little ambition. The sun terrace, garden, patio and outdoor furniture provide places to sit between outings.

Billiards offers something to do when the sun is still working too hard or when you have already had enough water for one day. For a change of scenery, the archaeological sights around Paphos make good dry-land plans: St Paul's Pillar, Saranda Kolones Castle, the Archaeological Park, the House of Dionysus and the Medieval Castle are all close enough to turn into manageable walks or short drives.

Check-in runs from 14:00 to midnight, and you need to tell the property your arrival time in advance. Check-out is from 08:00 to 12:00. The minimum age for check-in is 18, while children of any age are welcome. Early check-in and late check-out are available on request.
