Diver's Corner

Located in the southern Attica region, Diver's Corner operates out of Palaia Fokaia, providing direct access to the Saronic Gulf. The centre is situated just 15 km from Eleftherios Venizelos Airport and approximately 40 minutes from central Athens, making it a convenient base for both local divers and those flying in for a diving holiday.

Since its establishment in 2019, the centre has focused on providing a professional environment for all levels of underwater exploration. The facilities include 350 square metres of dedicated space, featuring two independent classrooms for theory work, a retail area, and private changing rooms with showers.

The team is led by a PADI Course Director, ensuring a high standard of instruction across all programmes. The professional staff consists of five experienced instructors dedicated to maintaining PADI safety standards while fostering a friendly, community-focused atmosphere.

Training at the centre covers a vast spectrum of disciplines. You can progress from initial certifications through to professional levels, including Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and PADI Freediver Instructor. They also host specialised training such as the PADI Mermaid course and various instructor development programmes.

The course catalogue is extensive, catering to beginners, advanced divers, and professionals alike. For those starting their journey, they offer Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses, alongside Emergency First Response training.

Specialist training is a core part of the curriculum, with options including Nitrox Diver, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Night Diver. For those interested in buoyancy and technical skills, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Dry Suit Diver courses are available.

For the professional track, the centre is an IDC (Instructor Development Center), offering training for Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and various instructor-level qualifications. They also provide a full suite of freediving courses, ranging from Basic Freediver to Master Freediver, as well as specialised Mermaid instructor training.

The centre operates a 10m Tornado RIB, a high-speed vessel designed to reach dive sites quickly and efficiently. This boat allows you to access reefs, caves, and wrecks that are unreachable from the shore.

For non-diving excursions, such as sunset trips around Sounio, the boat provides a comfortable platform with drinks and snacks on board. Nitrox is available for use during diving trips to extend your bottom time.

The centre provides full equipment hire for divers who do not wish to travel with their own kit. This includes a complete range of scuba gear, suitable for both recreational and specialised diving.

On-site facilities include a dedicated shop for retail and equipment needs, alongside modern changing rooms and private showers to rinse off after your dives. Nitrox is available on-site for divers looking to optimise their decompression limits.
